Fun Ideas For Your Easter Celebration

Easter is coming up, and while everyone celebrates differently, it’s safe to say most people get together in some capacity! It’s not uncommon for families, neighborhoods, church groups, or just communities as a whole to get together for an Easter Celebration. This typically includes some good food, an Easter egg hunt, and, if the kids are lucky, a visit from the Easter bunny himself. Below are other great additions to ensure your Easter celebration is one for the books!

Spruce Up Your Easter Egg Hunt

If you do an Easter egg hunt, you likely put candies or toys in the plastic eggs. However, a fun alternative is to get tickets and put them in the eggs! While some may only have one or two, you can put a few extra special eggs out with ten or more. Then you can do a ticket raffle for different items or set up a little prize stand! Those participating can use their tickets for candy, small toys, or fun accessories.

Hire A Face Painter

Kids, teens, and adults alike love getting their faces painted. It’s a fun treat that often evokes fond memories of childhood. Having one of our fantastic face painters at your celebration is a great way to make the celebration memorable- and makes for great photos!

Have Energy-Burning Activities

Easter is one of those holidays where many kids tend to be hopped up on sugar. It’s helpful to give them an outlet to let out that energy! Some ideas:

Pin The Tail on The Rabbit: Print out a large rabbit, and tape it to a wall. Each participant is blindfolded, given a cotton ball with their initials (and sticky tape), and does their best to get it right on the rabbit’s tail. Even those without a sugar rush will have fun!

Bunny Hop Race: On your mark, get set…HOP! This one is a twist on a classic sack race and is fun for all ages. The catch? You have to hop like bunnies! For an even more fun (and energy-burning!) race, have the participants hop to the finish line on exercise balls! Whether or not there’s a prize is up to you; either way, everyone is sure to have a great time!

Free For All: Sometimes, even a guided fun activity is too much for kids. Have an area with music playing for their own dance party. You can also set out toys and activities like:

  • Jump ropes.
  • Dolls and action figures.
  • Toy blocks.
  • Coloring sheets.
  • Hula hoops.
  • Easter-themed books.
  • Bubbles.
  • Chalk.
  • Sports equipment.
